Khaos Control Web includes a plugin that will add a donation section to the website, allowing customers to donate to a charity as part of their website order.

In order to make use of this plugin you will need to send a request to the Web support inbox asking for the plugin to be activated.

As part of the setup, you will need to create a "donation" product in Khaos Control. This is setup in the same way as a normal product, with the name and description being displayed on the website, as well as a single product image.

This product should be setup with a price of £1, as the donation quantities that you setup later will add this product to the order with a quantity to math the donation amount. For example, a £10 donation will add the donation product with a quantity of 10.

The product will need to be in the website category structure, the easiest way to do this is to have a "hidden" category that is set to "Hide on Menu" and add the product to that.

To setup the plugin options on the website you will need to:

- Log into the CMS.

- Go to "KC:Web" -> "Available Options" -> "Donations" tab.

            

- You will need to set the "Donation Product Web Slug" option to the Web Slug of the donation product you setup in Khaos Control.

- You will need to set the "Donation Amounts" option to have all of the donation amount options you want to show to the user, these should be round amounts (not decimals) and should not have any currency symbols such as pound signs. Each option should be on its own line.

- If you want to show the option to allow customers to enter their own custom amount, you can tick the checkbox for the "Allow Custom Donation Amounts" option.

- If you want to allow customers to use reward points to pay for donations, then tick the checkbox for the "Allow Donation To Be Paid Via Reward Points" option. If this option is enabled then the donation amount is removed from the allowed total for reward point usage.

- Click the "Save Changes" button to save the settings.

Once this is all setup a section will be added to the basket page with the name, description and image taken from the donation product, and an option for each donation amount.

When the item is added to the order a quantity is not displayed, and only the line price is displayed. The item can be removed as normal, and if further donations are added the quantity will be increased.
