The FAQ section on a product page can have category-specific entries, as well as the normal product-specific entries.
To add a category-level FAQ, log into the CMS and go to “KC:Web” on the left-hand menu, then “Questions” in the sub-menu:
From here you need to click the “Add New” button, as you would normally for manually adding an FAQ:
Whereas you would normally add the “Product Slug” for the product you want the FAQ to be displayed for, you can instead add the category URL:
For example, adding “shop-by-vehicle/beetle/beetle-engine/beetle-replacement-engines” will mean that this FAQ will be displayed on all products in the “Replacement Engine” category within the “Beetle” category.
You can then add the “Question” and “Answer” as normal, and you can skip the “Screen Name” and “Email Address” as they are not required.
You can then click the “Publish” button to save the FAQ:
NOTE – In order for this FAQ to be displayed, the user will have to access the product page via the specified category page. For example, if the customer is on the “shop-by-vehicle/beetle/beetle-engine/beetle-replacement-engines” category page and then goes to a product in that category, the above FAQ will be displayed. This means that if the customer goes directly to the product page, or via the search page, it won’t display the FAQ as the website doesn’t know which category it should be drawing from.
