Khaos Control Web includes functionality to deploy updates to the website and/or DLL via the CMS.

1. Log into the CMS of your website.

2. Go to “KC:Web” -> “Updates” on the left-hand menu.

3. If there are updates to the Codebase and/or the DLL, they will be listed under the “Updates Available” section.

4. To apply an update you just need to tick the “Update XXXX” option, for the Codebase and/or DLL, then click the “Apply Updates” button.

5. You should then get a confirmation that the update has been applied.

- If a Codebase update requires an update to the DLL as well, then you will need have to update both at the same time. This is important as it may cause inconsistencies with the requests made by the website to the DLL, which may prevent the website from operating correctly.

- Before updating the DLL you will need to confirm that you are on the equivalent version of Khaos Control that the DLL was built for. This is important as there may be differences in the expected database schema between different versions of Khaos Control, which may prevent the DLL from correctly updating certain elements.

If there is an issue with an update, such as errors on the website, then you have the option of rolling back to the previous version that the website was operating on before the last update.

To rollback the Codebase and/or DLL update you can click the buttons under the “Rollback Version” option.

Please note, this should not be done unless absolutely necessary.
